WICHway.org is a website and application that was created by DTS and just this week released to the public as a localized 511 information system offering daily commuters, out-of-towners, truck drivers, and those tracking road conditions throughout Kansas. The site provides a map of the greater Wichita area with the latest travel speeds, road conditions, and construction along with near real-time camera feeds and messages posted on ITS signage. The site was designed to respond to smaller screens such as smart phones and tablets making this application the first of its kind. Congratulations KDOT on a successful implementation and launch!
