The Township of Middletown Sewerage Authority (TOMSA) Selects VUEWorks For GIS-Based CMMS Features
Faced with an aging CMMS system that could no longer be upgraded for a reasonable cost, Ray Nierstedt, P.E., manager at TOMSA, was seeking an affordable system that he could integrate with GIS, track customer calls, and generate work orders. He also needed the system to seamlessly link to other databases and link electronic documents to any asset. Working with their engineering consultants, Maser Consulting (Red Bank, NJ), an exhaustive review of available solutions was conducted. After the dust settled, VUEWorks was selected to meet the organization's GIS based Work and Asset Management solution needs.
After implementation, the extensive sewer mapping provided by Maser Consulting was incorporated in the GIS, with immediate and universal access by all system users. Everyone now has access to the maps and data, and the work process effectively captures everything from the initial citizen contact through work completion, review and reporting.
VUEWorks Release v2.5 Delivers Powerful Work Management Features for Local Government and Utilities
VUEWorks version 2.5 combines the strength of browser-based asset management with the power of the Geodatabase integrated with a Computerized Maintenance Management System(CMMS).
VUEWorks, Inc. today announced the release of Version 2.5 of their Infrastructure Asset Management and Computerized Maintenance Management suite of products. VUEWorks is the only full featured Infrastructure Asset Management application that runs 100% in a browser making it the easiest solution to share maps and data across the organization. With release 2.5, VUEWorks’ powerful asset management features are now complemented by enhancements to the VUEWorks Work Order module and full support of the ESRI’s Geodatabase through ArcSDE.
Enhancements to the VUEWorks Work Order module make it the most powerful map-integrated, browser-based CMMS tool on the market. VUEWorks Work Order contains a completely configurable work order form which allows individual departments to configure forms for their workflow. Additional enhancements include an Interactive Work Order Calendar with integration to MS Outlook, notification tools, recurring work orders for preventive maintenance and a new reporting engine with templates.
“The combined enhancements contained in this release create a robust solution without the overhead of a desktop application,” says Dave Paine President and CTO of VUEWorks. VUEWorks contains all the power of a desktop application while operating completely within a browser without requiring end users to install any software. “Team members in the field can now operate with a full featured application.”
Other enhancements include updates to data linking, service calls and a completely new reporting engine for building reports.
