Core
With the new VUEWorks 2009 Core module you can:
- Set up users from Windows Active Directory or create users directly in VUEWorks.
- Manage permissions to practically everything at any level for any user with the new Permissions Manager.
- Define your Asset relationships from your GIS data regardless of how your GIS data is organized.
- Link documents, link to external document management systems*, or create links to the web.
- Link your GIS data to any ODBC compliant database and use it with GIS data in reports and more.
- Send email alerts triggered by time, event, or data thresholds.
- Integrates seamlessly with ESRI ArcSDE Geodatabases (WorkGroup and Enterprise) and shapefiles.
The VUEWorks Core module delivers all the power to maximize the use and value of GIS data. Core is the foundation for all other VUEWorks modules and is used to create all GIS related assets. It is highly configurable and delivers an interface that non-GIS personnel find easy to use. User permissions control access to editing features. Use the search and selection tools to create a selection set of assets and then press the multi-edit button to edit hundreds of assets at the same time. Click on the Document Link menu to link as many electronic documents as required, attach the same link to multiple assets at a time, batch load links and more.

Use Data Link to attach multiple external database tables to any GIS layer and then use the data seamlessly with GIS attributes for searching, displaying, and creating reports. Additional tools available include the buffer tool, the measure tool, a powerful search tool, a robust report designer, tools to manage, save, and share selection sets, and tools to set up users and maps. Take it into the field and provide staff and managers with the same tools and real-time information that is available in the office, sharing over a wireless connection.
