The VUEWorks solution at its most basic level is a “share the map” viewer to bring your GIS to all your users without expensive and technically demanding desktop licensing. Everyone can use the maps without the steep learning curve normally associated with geographic information systems. At its next level, it is a work management system that enables the user to capture citizen concerns and issues, initiate, plan (preventive maintenance) and capture work efforts, and manage all resources used in the work – labor, materials and equipment. At the highest level, VUEWorks is a strategic asset management solution that incorporates condition assessment, risk analysis, valuation, budget forecasting, and project for managing any asset.

Spurred by the needs expressed by its clients, initial product development began in 2000 by SEA Consultants of Cambridge, Massachusetts. VUEWorks Inc. was founded in December 2004 when full development, distribution, and marketing rights for the entire VUEWorks® product line were purchased from SEA. Today, the VUEWorks management team consists of work and asset management professionals and seasoned software industry experts formally from Autodesk, Softdesk and Primavera with over 70 years of industry knowledge and application development history.
