Our very own Allen Ibaugh, AICP, GISP, President of FLURISA, recently presented at the SERUG Conference in Jacksonville, Florida on Wednesday May 1st. This event was hosted by FLURISA, and provided a great opportunity for GIS professionals to meet and network. The conference had a group of Ignites share their insights into various themes such as the GIS profession, trends, and certifications. Mr. Ibaugh’s ignite was “From Analyst to Developer” in which he discussed the steps of becoming a software developer rather than just analyzing it.
FLURISA is the Florida chapter of URISA, The Association for GIS Professionals, a leading provider of learning and knowledge for the GIS community. To learn more about URISA, visit their website: http://www.urisa.org/
